Had you thought of consulting Liz and Steve to ask for advice or help? They have put on several good camps not far from you before now, may be helpful?

Yeah we have tryed. They are now living in somerset and have very little to do with us now.

Update: I have been speaking to a neighbor who was a farmer and has fields... He has agreed to lend us a field for a week. Result!

Have you taken into account things like public liability insurance?

I have taken it in to account but we got a year yet so a long time to plan this

toilets? markee? showers? food stalls? insurance?(been mensioned already)

In a way I dont get it, like, you have the 2cvgb national camp/regs day ....etc, The I2F guys are trying to arrange a camp, what organisation is doing it? IF it profits, where do the profits go?

Thinking of it, the biggest cost of a camp has to be the land where its held and...

It sounds a good idea but it needs alot more thought than you have put into it I believe.

Field is free, water electric free. I would have not thought about costings to enter for the week. This would go towards the cost of the toilets, showers and hiring in what else we need, obviously food will have to cost as that would be run by someone else to come in.

You would have to be a member of 2cvgb, then you should be able to run the event under their insurance(or so I believe )

in event terms, a year isn't long at all hop to it Tom!
