Only in France! Local Classic Car clubs, including our 2cv Club Pontios, block the towns roads twice in one day, have two or more driving circuits of the town on streets lined with cheering residents and visitors, fill the square with cars at lunchtime for an Apéro at the Mairie and fill the park with pique-nique participants whilst listening to a live band in the square. All for free. We had an incredibly enjoyable day taking part and reflected that this type of event would be very difficult if not impossible to do in Nimby England.

A few pics:

.....and this short video gives a good impression of the festival atmosphere that prevailed:

Enjoy!

Marvellous stuff, plenty of fun going on as well... :)
Thanks, Chris.
.
Would you happen to know what that blue car is, with faired-in headlamps?
It's in the lineup, just past an R4.

p.s. Just had another look and judging by the wacky wipers, probably a Peugeot?

Er, actually no, it's a Renault but Jonathan beat me to it!

Thanks, Ken, glad you like the pics. Yes, plenty of fun and pisstaking all day. We loved the fake Gendarmes, by the way. If you look they're 'armed' with water pistols.

Here's some more pics plus some screencaps from Mrs Chris2cv's videos:

And now........pics from the 4th Edition. Numbers seemed down this year, possibly because of the rain in the morning but the afternoon was quite dry and warm. Enjoy these latest pics of this Mairie-supported blocking up of the town centre and surrounds with classic vehicles for most of a busy Saturday. Something that I cannot imagine would never happen in the UK. We only saw two Gendarmes throughout the whole day, too.
