It's the Derbyshire Firkin Flyers' monthly meeting tomorrow evening. We'll be here - http://www.bullsheadbelper.co.uk/ from about 7.30pm onwards. It's pie night at the pub (£8 for as much as you want - highly recommended). Our group seems to be on a bit of an upswing at the moment, and if you're in the area it'll be great to see you, too! |

It's the Derbyshire Firkin Flyers' club-night tomorrow night (Thursday 13th). Very sadly, it'll be our last night at The Bull's Head, and our final few of their fantastic pies and Shottle Beers, as their greedy bastard overlords are forcing them to close. Derbyshire Firkin Flyers Clubnight, this Thursday. Note change of venue - http://www.royaloakockbrook.com/ We have a separate room where we can eat all together. Food ordered on night and prices are from,starters £3,25 for bread and olives to quail pate @ £5,25, mains from £8,95 for chilli,pies ext, specials from £12,50, puds and cheese board for rafters. Children and dogs allowed. Land lady seams very accommodating. Good selection of beers. Pub has won a few awards in camera for country pub. Hopefully see plenty of local 2CVers there. |

Hi everyone. Time for usual monthly reminder that it's the Derbyshire Firkin Flyers' club night this Thursday, from 7.30pm at the Royal Oak in Ockbrook, and of course it's also the Firkin Freezing camp this weekend, at the Bull i' th' Thorn, near Buxton. http://www.bulliththorn.com/ I'll not be able to get to club night this month, but hope to see loads of you at the camp (there'll be a circular tour convoy leaving the pub at some point on Saturday morning, so why not join us for that if you don't fancy/can't make the whole weekend?).
