36th 2cvGB National Meeting of 2cv Friends

Arranged in cahoots with the Classic 2cv Racing Club's 24hr race.

The 2cvGB event will run Noon Thursday (28th August) - Noon Monday (1st September). This is the weekend AFTER the August bank holiday.

Thursday Night
Informal evening with 2cv band (a good one ;) )

Friday Night
Blackbeard's Tea Party (of ICCCR fame) - EPIC folk/rock ceilidh band.

Saturday
Race day, race times tbc, but 24hr will be preceded by an all A Series parade lamp (like Spa). Race live streamed from the beer tent

Sunday
Chill out day, scenic drives, trip to local food festival. Oh and a BANGING eurotrash disco in the evening.

Beer tent with ACTUAL beer in an ACTUAL tent in, possibly, the largest tent at a UK 2cv event ever - 24 meters of it.

Fairly straightforward camp: no theme, no complications. Beer + racing + music. Bar open till 1am every night, hot food and FIRE pits, plus track opportunities (like Spain).

You shouldn't have to be a member to get into the racing though? Whats the craic with that? I don't want to have to join the club just to go and spanner all weekend!

I expect it's one or the other - if you're part of the racing you get in or if you're in 2cvgb you get in.

I'm looking forward to it.
