We went up for a few hours ,it's only 30 miles from us. Seemed like a couple of hundred cars, mostly shiney 80s but plenty of Dyanes, amis, vans and meharis plus a few HY,modcons and bx's etc . Plenty of beardy men ,and a few young chaps that look like they might like linkin park or something :D

I bought a toyo and rim off ecas for a new spare wheel ,Roy said will you be fitting the tyre yourself ,no i said, thinking i'd need a machine ,once he'd described how easy it is with these without even needing levers ,just a bit of force and some soap i had it together and inflated within 10 minutes at home. This knowledge would have been handy a while ago when i paid 60 quid at stapletons to put 4 wheels together and balance them   :D

But did you position that little yellow circle on the tyre in line with the valve?

http://www.bridgestonetrucktires.com/us ... %20doc.pdf

"And if the tire has only a yellow dot?
Regardless of the type of wheel, if there is no red dot,
mount the tire with the yellow dot next to the valve stem.
"

One day, you might make a good tyre fitter, my son...

It was superb! I became honorary Mehari Registrar for the day. That was awkward when I had to hand my dad the prize for 2nd best Mehari for my Mehari.

Drove round some fields. Bought some tat. Have very few memories of Friday night and got sunburn. Awesome.
