This is just below Bordeaux - I am thinking seriously about going to this with my new AZU and my solexes (or my old AZU if it has not sold by then). Looks fun!! But will need a trailer for the weekend and my pesky daughter is flying home from the UK on the Saturday....

Anyone thinking of going? It would be a good alternative to the Spanish weekend (specially as I can't make that and it is just over the mountains from me :( )

Just back from a great event although we did not get to do much due to the gearbox and clutch. Plenty of cars there and a lot of partying. I learnt a great deal from a young mechanic who is just about to start at Plya Mehari in La Teste de Buch.

We were near enough the first to arrive

Got the solexes out and Julie was now know as Madame Solex for the rest of the weekend. A good ice breaker for us foreigners (meaning we came all the way from Toulouse)

We did have a bit of a rainy start with a massive storm the Friday night - not a lot of sleep in the tent.

But the friendly german couple who run the HY Crepe van provided good coffee.

No not yet - had the egine out twice, changed clutch, changed it back (need new one) but still gearbox issue.

But had a good crowd for most of the time when we were working. And when I drove him out of the show ground we had a long line of cheering 2CVers :D

So is it the gearbox do you think?

Yep - something slipping to the side intermittently. Although I have no idea what is inside, it just seems that it nudges across blocking 3rd but if stationary it works perfectly, or for the first change 1st, 2nd, 3rd ,4th but then changing back to 3rd or from 2nd to 3rd it will block.

In its own juice as they say - wax oiled to keep the rust in (inside there were many holes)
