Bloody hell....Morris dancing...brass bands, ukulele....

....OK RT...you win, you can take VL....I will probably be busy finishing off my cross stitch picture of next doors pet guinea pig or making candles in the shape of an aardvarks left nostril....all required for classic car shows obviously.

...I thought about entering the jam making competition, but ....oh it doesnt matter....cant get the colour right....although it has the right feel to it!

The Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain are truely amazing. They have appeared on Jools Holland and the BBC Proms. The performance is not a bit as you would expect and is quite humourous. They are actually composing a special number for the ICCCR. Check out their Videos at:

Good on anyone for organising anything that I could do in a brewery!

Apparently the BX owners like a bit of a drink and a party. Perhaps our 2CV party spirit can spread!

ARE YOU ABLE TO HELP WITH THE ICCCR MEETING?
AUGUST 9TH – 12TH 2012

EITHER WITH SETTING UP ON THE MONDAY OR TUESDAY (6TH/7TH)
DURING THE EVENT or
DISMANTLING THE SITE ON THE FOLLOWING MONDAY/TUESDAY (13TH/14TH)

We need about 50 volunteers to help in the following areas:
- Erect Heras fencing around the campsite
- Mark out additional roadways in the campsite
- Put up the Museum displays in Javel hall
- Put up identity signage on buildings and direction signs / location plans around the site
- Lay out fencing and barriers
- Lay out the entertainment halls Balard and Grenelle
- Position portable sheds in registration area
- Erect the 2CVGB party tents...

There will be other jobs, but these are the main ones. Much is straightforward manual work, but volunteers with a level of technical skill will be particularly welcome, for example in relation to the Museum displays.

Site breakdown starts on the morning of Monday 13th August, and should be largely completed during that day, with final clearance on Tuesday.

We will have the assistance of the permanent venue staff, with tractor / trailer, cherrypicker, scissor lift etc available (driven by them)

There is of course equally a need for volunteers throughout the event, to help with:
- Registration - Reception / information centre
- Marshalling - Campsite
- Driving events - Entertainments

Rotas will be set up of relatively short duration, to allow all helpers to fully enjoy the Rally!

All volunteers must register and pay as normal, although there will be some perks such as 'Organisation' t-shirts, and food.

If you are able to help in any way with this meeting please contact Liz (2CVGB ICCCR Representative) at events@2cvgb.com
