Feb 4th/5th/6th

Camping on the show ground in Ashover, then sub 5 min walk/stagger to The Old Poets Corner. Function room booked for Saturday night. Some kind of 40's theme as it'll be several folks 40th soon.
Some kind of scenic run out on the saturday - no destination as yet, but maybe Tramway Museum if it's open.

The pub's ace by the way, and well worth walking past two that are nearer.

Camping will be roughly at the Junction of Milken Lane and Hard Meadow Lane.

See you there I hope!!

Maybe, I'm seriously poor so going abroad is out for the moment, I'm going to spend what little cash I have on my Train for Salbris. I might just come along though, I'll clear it with domestic management. I need a 2cv fix and I've spent the morning making a (f*cking) wardrobe to please her, so I should be able to wangle it.

The Mackett contingent will be there!

It's been too long since a camp!

Just been to the site. It's huge, not muddy despite all the rain, and has a shonky old shack on site we can use if the weather is shit.

Pub can be got to by walking along the road, or taking a short cut across the fields on a footpath.

£5 per unit per night

Toilets and showers available (fingers crossed) in the sports club -- which is in the next field over.

I'm thinking the Blitz - gas mask and tin helmet.
