I'd be up for a new year camp, like the ones of old. Anyone else remember that one up near Hebden Bridge when it snowed and we all slept in the pub? 1996, I think.

I thought I'd make a day of it, so set off fairly early and got there for around 10:30am. There were no public toilets I could find open and nobody else turned up till around 1pm IIRC, so I was sat in the car, cold, bored and busting for an almighty piss on a similar scale to Noah and his flood :( When people did turn up, they tended to huddle around in small "private" groups (a sort of us and them type of thing)and there was little or no socialising with the masses. To top it all, there is a little steam railway which I got on and the woman 'Fare Collector" was just about the rudest, most obnoxious and thoroughly miserable human being I've ever had the misfortune of meeting.

Think I'll volunteer to work on New Years Day, it'll be far more preferable. :|

Those Hebden Bridge camps where things of legend. Waking the landlord of The New Delight Inn so he could deal with a beer delivery! Happy times.

I'm working New Years Eve till 4.30pm, but have New Years Day booked off just in case a party comes along!

I usually head down to hayling Island. Bare in mind it is organised by a local group who all know each other but they're a friendly bunch and I've always enjoyed it :)

I learned the other day that there's a big difference between weeing in a swimming pool and weeing into a swimming pool.
