Post Oktoberfest
Just been listening to a program on the radio about Oktoberfest - and I WANT TO GO...
http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00vkl0j
(If anybody outside the UK wants, I can send them an MP3 of it)

Anybody reckon there could be scope for a 2cv raid?

2CV raid to Germany in the autumn? Sounds eminently doable, Mr C - will have to see how the old bod is next year tho ;)

I'm reminded of the Giles Wemmbley - Hogg quote ... "Munich Oktoberfest? Right, all I need to do is find out where it is and when it is and I'm all set." :D

Not wanting to start another thread that may not go anywhere, I thought I'd piggy-back off this German themed thread and just ask if anybody knows the dates/location of next year's German National 2cv Meeting? I've decided I'm doing Waggel in May and then the German National, instead of the World Meeting.

Just done some surfing and answered my own question. It appears that the German National is a bi-annual event that is held in opposing years to the World Meeting, so the next one is in July of 2012. Oh well, I'll just look for local, small French meetings or even try the Portuguese meeting 8-)

Stoopid question - why avoid the WM?

World (Big) Meeting + French organisation = :x

I may end up going, but turn up on Day 2 and hope the queue is more manageable/organised ;)

I don't think there's such a thing as a totally smooth WM... Physically impossible!

The queue for Giel was party central...
