following on from Chris, Will & Jono's old skool pictures & due to the fact i've now got myself a scanner (hello 20th century  ) i thought i'd bung a few up...

Not great quality, but these were taken at the Cornwall 2cvers summer camp, St. Buryan, Cornwall in July 1990. There was a committee meeting on the site the same weekend - don't think it was particularly well attended!

Been a long time since I last saw the re/white chequered AK or DY C1T. Whatever happened to SOW 602?

I think Pete Cross still has DYC 1T. SOW 602 - pig bin!

Adventure bumpers were clearly popular back then!

This nostalgia is bad stuff, i cant help feel 2CV'ing used to be much more 'joy de vivre'

Great pics Neil :)

Spookily enough I saw SOW 602 only today! Coming off the A14 into St Ives. It was on a fairly hardcore swb landy covered in off-road stickers and stuff, maybe mudclub.co.uk or something along those lines.

Aside from the cars, another interesting aspect of these pics is the number of ridge tents as opposed to dome tents. If I take our big old skool Ariel ridge anywhere now it can easily be the only ridge tent on an entire campsite.

Also, I suppose, pop up tents are poplar now as well. I loved the Queacha villes in cz!

It lives round us.

Micky White had the Pigbin Acad, and sold the plate off it to somebody local for not very much (I was a bit miffed - I'd have paid more for it!). It was on a Volvo V40 for a while, and has been on that Landie for a few years. I see it probably once a month or so. Dunno what happened to the Acad - it was a bit crunchy, and for sale at Louis B's.

Pete Cross still has DY C1T, and still comes along to events - usually bump into him at Reg and/or Int'l.

jesus, i'm pretty sure it was 20 years ago this weekend we were at this camp... where's the time gone? My Dad has still got & more surprisingly, still wears the pair of shorts he bought in Penzance after stopping there on the convoy route!
