 Re: 2CVGB Registers Day 1st - 3rd July 2011
Well I'm glad we managed to get Reg day off OK, I spent most of yesterday asleep so I have no idea if we broke even, bankrupted the club or how many cars in total turned up.
I do recall that 21 Ami's arrived which is a UK record for at least the last 20 years, but drum brakers seemed to be really in short supply with only about 5 of them.
Renault Club was a bit of a fail with only 3 classic Renaults turning up over the course of the weekend, but then I think we'd have had trouble fitting them into the site if they'd have turned up mob handed.
Ami cake was excellent without any hint of Rust and Steve did us proud on the bar.
Starting to think about idea's for next year's event so if you have any thoughts lets hear them.
Hoon field is a given lol.

It was a fantastic event, you did superbly Matt. I'd be up for an extra night next year, either Thursday or Sunday, for those of us that fancy a long weekend. Particulatly as next year's a bit iffy with no national or wm.
Maybe reg day should be THE 2cvGB event of 2012? I certainly think so.

Shouldn't make much difference to day visitors, but the happy campers would not have to rush off straight after the event. Might even persuade a few more people to hang around until the end as well, and perhaps even camp! (Oh, and it looks like you didn't bankrupt the Club, either, Matt. Good work! )
