 Re: Salbris 2011
OK,,,, I suspect total failure, but the Bamboo (now without Bamboo stickers and with a really dreadful horrible bright yellow bumper ....for no reason at all, except I had a mad moment and a tin of yellow paint appeared before me....) is working !!!!! Its had masses done to it, serviced and I am actually scared that I might go to a 2CV event .....in a 2CV I have packed loads of tools and spares, although whilst I did consider taking a spare starter motor, I weighed it and it was 4.2 Kg......hmm the same weight as ten cans of Special Brew and a starting handle.....hmmmm tough choice. The thing that scared me yesterday was I swept out some junk (bits of old floor, seat belt mounts, bulkhead....the kind of rust that lives behind seats and rubber mats) from the inside and for a moment I seriously considered, for just one moment about washing and cleaning the outside I must be bored, I am "peaking" to early. How weird to be this organised a week early and have nothing to do on the car except to contemplate cleaning it ?

I'm not sure Squeezebox could do welding, but he could keep you entertained with music. I've also got the car loaded up and ready. Just got the tent and clothes to put in next week. My checklist has nearly got all of its' ticks in place.

I'll be catching some rays, drinking wine and eating cheese. Chatting with others and chilling out. Defenatly not an anti-social type... But can you do a good dog-immitation? Woof woof Woof! That's my other dog impression. I'm a bit hung up here in Salbris, I need about 60 foot of bridge... And don't hit me with your negative waves so early in the morning. SALBRIS?? I've got a map around here someplace that sais we haven't even started the meeting at that place allready
