Still, booze is good, so fill the camper with gin, and you'll be very welcome. yes im afraid, one of them german things with lots of windows and the engine in the back... shes also got a mini cooper - the original, not the new horrible big things with a logo..... choose camper would be better cos we can sleep in it well every camping trip she goes on she ends up falling down somewhere drunk and hurting herself so im sure you guys will love her!

Re: 2009 2CVGB (INTER)National - Wild East, St Ives, Cambs
Just a thought. We are thinking about having a projector showing 2cv type films at the meeting. By this I mean copyright-free material, such as old films of club stuff like London-Brightons, Internationals, Dustbineering, raids etc, as well as any home movies that people have taken of events over the years. Anything that contains cool retro A-series hooning, meetings, people 20 years ago looking like twats, that kind of thing!
I'll be talking to Sue the Archivist to raid the vauts for such stuff, but if anyone has anything they would be happy to let show and could wang on a DVD then it would be much appreciated!
Thanks!

On-line booking for the National is now live. I've just booked mine and pre-ordered T-shirts. Roll on the Good Times!

Just to let you know, a few of us Frogs went up to the campsite for the National this morning. It looks absolutely fan-bloody-tastic! The farmer is well up for just about any sort of activity taking place, and the hooning field has got to be about a quarter of a mile long. It will be stubble, so nice and rough... Bx

Just a thought for anyone without wheels for the big weekend: as people have mentioned above, we'd be happy to sort out collecting anyone from St. Ives who's using public transport. There's info about public transport on the website: http://www.2cvgb.co.uk/national09/location.htmlLet us know if you're definitely coming, and nearer the time, we'll sort out a mobile number for you to call when you arrive and a 2CV taxi will come and get you. The site is only 5 minutes from town. We're all very friendly, and can all remember what it's like being a noob (the feeling only lasts for the first couple of beers, anyway!)! So don't be shy!
