So does 2CVGB!

As much as I don't really get the attraction of 'other' Citroens, AX, BX, Xantia and all that, A meeting that caters for them all would be great. Hopefully everybody could approach it with an open mind, so that the man with adenoids discussing exactly which type of screws he should be using on his Traction Avant can enjoy being in the company of a 19 year old doing handbrake skids in his C2 to impress some underage girls. While we can drink ourselves into a stupor and so on.

That' the kind of thing. The ICCCR needs to attract the whole of the Citroen world in all its glorious diversity, and not just be all moth balls and cardigans with us lot causing a riot in the corner.

Couldn't of said that better or agree with this more

Post ICCCR 2012 - Pre-booking & cancellation policy
:!: Just in from the ICCCR organizing Chaps:

"Anyone who books and pays for the event can cancel and get a full refund*, no questions asked, up to 31-May-12." (that's just 9 weeks before the event!)

*Excluding any bank charges

So, if you are in a position where you currently don't know what your
work commitments will be in August 2012, then you can still take advantage now of the advance booking rate AND get a full refund if you need to cancel, up until 2 months before the event is held.

WE REALLY DON'T WANT YOU TO PAY THE HIGHER RATE THAT COMMENCES on 01-APR-11 (£70**)

.....and the next increase on 01-JAN-12 (£90**)

.....and the next increase on 01-JUN-12 (£110**).

BOOK NOW, SAVE MONEY, DECIDE ON OR BEFORE 31-MAY-12 IF YOU CAN ATTEND..... see http://tinyurl.com/icccr2012-store

**These Car + Driver prices are estimates and the figure may be higher or lower depending upon the number of advance bookings that we get.

I think this is the kind of thing Aidan means. I agree it'd be worth going to if there's such a diverse range of cars. I've got no real interest in all the old Citroen heritage tat, if that's all that's there, but having a bit of everything there would be sweet.

I think it would be great to host a diverse, inclusive event. Plus I think we'd have a right laugh with the creators of that!

We could do donut competitions, saxo vs 2cv!

I'm not going - I'm not a huge Citroen fan - I just like what I like.

As there is not going to be a 2CVGB National next year I'm planning to have a real holiday - one that may not even include cars for the first time in many ears.

Can't say I blame you Annie. Considering doing the same myself. I'll be saving up for Spain 2013, and a week spent in Harrogate at an overblown CCC rally just isn't doing it for me.

I suppose for those who live in Derbyshire, a trip to the next county is boring. You've probably seen all there is to see, but as I'm a southerner I'll enjoy all Yorkshire has to offer. :)

Their web site is extremely uninspiring and doesn't exactly make you want to join in. I expressed my reservation about this event back in 2004 that it might not appeal very well to 2CVers who have a different outlook on events that the rest of the Citroen world.
