Or was that a bog roast? I haven't seen a turdis go up in flames for ages now. (Actually, I DON'T recommend it: the smell of a burning poo palace is truly awful and piss-steam gets into everything... )

 Re: London - Brighton Run
I know that quite a number of us from North Kent will be driving directly to Hove, perhaps via the London-to-Brighton road, rather than the treck up to North London only to retrace our steps. Of course I'll happily pay the fiver towards costs/sticker/etc. That goes without saying.
We drove with the children in the 1990/1991/1992 London-to-Brighton runs, and were visitors at Hove last year, so we're really looking forward to Sunday. Let's hope that there's going to be a big turnout as last year was very small compared to the earlier runs from Battersea Park.

"This is not a 2CVGB event, they washed their hands of it several years ago".
Without wishing to open up any possible wounds, what was all that about? (Semi-Newbie)

Something about not wanting to be liable for financial losses I think. However, it is organised by a local 2CVGB group for 2CVGB members so the club insurance will cover.
