It seems Devils Bridge causes a lot of problems for cars, another person who lives there doesn't have a lot of luck with his vehicles either....:-0

Well another year goes by and the BB passes its MOT with only an advisory on a small hole that needs patching on the n/s passenger floor at some time.
Interestingly, because I have smashed the lock off the steering column, cos some wally had a rammed a screwdriver in it some years ago, the inspector pointed out that it should really, under the current testing rules, have an alternative method of theft prevention, such as a kooklock. I think EBay beckons for next year......

I think your tester has got his facts a bit out,the check/test of the steering lock is surely on safety grounds, as in it doesn't come on whilst driving, the anti theft side of it I doubt is the reason for it's inclusion, also is he going to test your crook lock? But hey the law is an ass so anything is possible

Reading this:
www.motuk.co.uk/manual_210.htm

it would appear all 2cv's will be exempt "first used on or after 1 September 2001"

Any one else had problems like this?

Anyone know the whereabouts of the Beige Beast? I believe it's someone from 2CVGB owns it - wonder if they might swap it back for the Blue Celeste I have?
