I'm trying to think of ways of titivating the BB and her indoors has suggested maybe a desert camouflage effect..what do we think? I've Paint Shop a piccy to give some idea....

As the actual owner of the car wants to switch the number plates on retention, I have been doing all the work on the MOT etc as he virtually gave me the car and then it will be transferred to my name - this has caused a number of problems not least that the DVLA wanted to do a positive VIC on the car as they were suspicious that the plates may be on a later ringer so that retention can be done - its apparently a common scam - I guess a car that has not driven on Tax or MOT for 31 years might be a little surprising - anyway drove to Oldham today for the DVLA guy to look it over and check engine and chassis numbers - he was very impressed and ticked all the boxes so hopefully new number and V5C will be coming my way shortly - did about 130mile round trip at average of 47mpg - not bad for a 34 year old lady!

I love that Beige Beast and if I was you, I would leave it as is.

Lot of folks tend to drop their A's or make a rad looks/ Hoodrides, if it' s not looks pretty to start with.
Or they restore it to new-car condition.

There is nothing wrong with either, but why no just keep it simple and keep the original patina?

One thing I love about your car is, the 70ish colour scheme, the colour of the seats and especially the front grill in grey plastic. Normally they always are in metal or black plastic.

New seat fabric can be purchased at Ami de la 2cv in France for about 18 - 20 pounds and if I was you, I would paint the back door Beige and paint the places where you have repaired rust and then leave the rest as is.
