The time has come to add a third car to the quickly expanding collection :)
It comes in the form of a tatty 1976 beige dyane, which i think looks quite lovely.

The car is coming to us from a yard in manchester, in which it has been sitting for a fairly long time. My dad has a client that he meets with opposite the yard and was able to find out the yard was owned by a garage just up the street.

After talking with the owner of the garage we established that he had bought it a longish time ago with plans to restore and run it but never got round to it. He then told us we could have it for a couple hundred quid delivery. My dad offered £400 but he said he didnt want to rob us :) So sometime this week we will get our £200 dyane.

The chassis is near perfect, and the front panel is included and in the car.

I just love the moldy sides. A vehicle enquiry check on it holds a little suprise. there is 11 thousand something on the clock in the car, which would make you assume its gone round at least once, however,

Date of Liability 01 09 1979
Date of First Registration 28 09 1976
Year of Manufacture 1976

Which may mean it has only done the 11 thousand!

As far as we can tell yeah for whatever reason it did only spend 3 years on the road. The dude didn't really no any back story to it other than he knows he bought it a fairly long time ago.

It was stored in a secure high fenced yard, with other new cars in and has just recently been moved to less secure grass patch, when he knew we were interested

If you check a car new enough to have an official CO2 figure, then it'll tell you that.

<looks out window>
CO2 Emissions 357g/Km

Great find Steve!

I wonder if a plastic jerry can bungee'd to the front panel will be the latest 'rat-look' craze?
