Post My red one.
Around this time last year, I saw in 2cv GBs adverts a 2cv that needed restoration, and it was near Mark so I asked if he could go and have a look (thanks Mark- 4x4 superfin) and he said it looked ok, its was a rusty shell and boxes of parts and a rolling chassis so thats what I got. My dad came back with a rolling chassis the body shell and all the boxes. I had actually got two shells when i bought the car and the other shell was at quirky classics( in barnstable) which had just shut down so I email Chris(C-diddy) who doesn't live far from QC and he was going there to get parts so I asked if he could get the body shell for me so thanks Chris.I then got Richard Dalton to do the welding (and he made a good job of it) on the shell I'd just got because it was better than the first one I got, another thanks to richard. Then alot of hard work followed, then when the car was complete I put it up for sale and got a bit of interest but no takers, I decided that it would be my first car.
heres where i started: Image
And heres where i finished: Image

and today i tried on this bumper What do you think?: Image

More photos of the restoration to come.

Nice write up, Louis. Yes, i love the rear bumper. Looks like it's off an early Dyane? The shape of the hoops is slightly different to the normal AZAM jobs - Dyane ones don't obstruct the later rear lights & still give you that 60's look. Nice car, glad it's a keeper. 8-)
