Re: My pick-up
The only problem I have is that if I'm harnessed in, I might not reach the radio anymore.. So note to self when alone in car, make sure I've got some nice tunes going, so I don't have to change song every 3 minutes

Re: My pick-up
Had some problems with braking yesterday.. Brake pedal seemed softer than usual, could press it more down, without much force and also the brakeing itself was poorer than I'm used too. Checked the brakefluid level and it a bit lower, and after that I saw a green fluid on top on one of the callipers. Thought it was because one of the sealing glands (google translate) came loose.. thightend the basterd a bit and drove on.
after using the brake a few time, with no noticable improvement, the braking became really bad, the fluid-check-light started to show up. The only way to brake was with the emergency brake. Stopped at a Total fuel station and called the ANWB. They came after 1,5h of waiting and the dude (who owned a AZU and worked at a citroen dealer), soldered the brake line, so I could continue the drive. In the meantime we had contact with Punky, and he went to a 2cv garage nearby for a new brakepipe to replace the soldered one (pipe between the callipers).
Put that in this morning, blead the brakes and went home.
The old line was only 10 months old, after I rebuild the brakes last april. Maybe thje brake line was bent a bit within the sealing gland, so I slowly worn trough.. Well, could have ended worse than this (10 euro's for a new brake line, 11 for a litre LHM and 2 drinks and snacks at the petrol station).

Re: My pick-up
I love the fact that in the last sentence the article says there was special attention for Volvo's but there isn't a single Volvo in the picture

Re: My pick-up
Correct! But... The cars in front of me, and behind me are Volvo's...
Also my car shouldn't be allowed there, because it's from 1986. Only cars up to 1975 were allowed to park there. But when I enterd the meeting, I wanted to park outside the designated parking area but a guy from the organisation waved at me to drive on to the meetings area..

Re: My pick-up
fitted the exhaust pictured above last week, and the sound isn't that bad. on idle it sounds really nice, and on WOT it's doable.. the airfilter seems to produce more sound. Luckily the soundsystem can play at a higher volume.. no notacible lack in performance: With a slight wind in the back, not flat out Cruising with Punky:

Re: My pick-up
Time to resurrect the speedo thread! I've just set my sat nav for a trip to Simons, and the max speed achieved so far on it is 152mph. Sadly, not in my 2cv.
