Brand new (1k miles) 123 bought and fitted last year after the original unit gave up the ghost after 15 years and well in excess of 100k miles of use. Got it booked in with my mate at lunchtime Wednesday.

It may be worth sending your old 123 back, for repair, got mine done some years back, only had to pay the shipping.

As its been stood :( Check your fuses for corrosion/connection. I've read (somewhere!) 123 likes a good 12v. :)

I arrived back home in Shetland this morning. The 2CV is now safely tucked away back in my sister's garage until I head back down in September. It wasn't running at all well once the engine was up to temperature, which I suspect is the new (1k miles) Equem spark plugs. I'll swap them out for some NGKs when I head back south.

The Deuche passed the MOT on Wednesday for another year's pootling along the Queen's Highways & Byways. There's a couple of advisories that'll need attending to, so as soon as JAC Autos (2CV Specialist) has time and space in his workshop, it'll be heading in to be dealt with. I'm hoping to get the shell lifted so we can closely inspect the underside and renew the underseal after any repairs needed. There's a local 2CV picnic meeting on Castlemorton Common at lunchtime tomorrow (safely spaced out for Covid), so that's going to be my first 2CV meeting since the New Year. Can't wait :)

Problem ressolved, 2 renault 4 owners happy. Only they had to do some tetris to get the four of them and the parts in one r4. The complete exhaust vertically out of the roof. They were lucky to have rare version with open top.
