As said before, nice car. And nice photo.

The green sunshade over the front seats, made it yourself?

Was at the Shetland Classic Motor Show over the weekend and the 2CV was the only Citroën on display. There was a nice line-up of 1960s BMC 'Farina' saloons, with two Austin Cambridge, a Wolseley 16/60, two Riley 4/Seventy Two, and an MG Magnette Mark IV. Sadly missing from that row was a Morris Oxford Series V or VI.

Popped down to Lerwick this morning and decided to use the 2CV as it was dry. It was rather windy though, gale force actually, so I was pegged to a max of about 40mph into the SW headwind going down. A completely different scenario on the drive home, with 60mph easily attainable, even on some of the steeper hills that usually kill any speed I'd been managing. 8-)

A beautiful couple of days here in Shetland, though thankfully nowhere near as hot as the rest of the UK. I've been using the Deuche for the daily commute.... hood fully open, of course.

I've just been under the bonnet to tighten an exhaust clamp and the two nuts holding the manifold to the head on the driver's side cylinder that had worked loose.

Been a beautiful day up here in Shetland so I was on the 8:25am ferry this morning and headed down to Boddam to visit the Shetland Croft House Museum, which is probably my favourite tourist attraction in the isles. Hood has been open all day, but thankfully we don't get the crazy temperatures that pretty much the rest of the UK has been suffering with. Has been a comfortably warm and pleasant 16c.

Just spent the last hour trying to get through to ECAS to order £450+ worth of stuff, and getting no reply. My mate down south has just informed me it's a Bank Holiday in England!! Ahhhhh!

Lol

That's why I ordered mine on Thursday.

Obviously, once I got the delivery confirmation, I discovered something else I needed.
