Had family visiting on holiday last week. I dropped them off at the airport on Tuesday, so have the house to myself again :D  I ended up driving close on 1000 miles in 8 days, almost exclusively in the Golf apart from spending a couple of hours driving around Unst in the 2CV on Sunday afternoon. I was back to work on Wednesday, and so far the weather has been beautiful enough for me to commute in by 2CV. Hood fully open, of course. 8-)

Lucky you!
Over here it is cold, and grey with some drizzel now and then. :(

Just arrived in Lerwick in the Deuche. Dentist appointment in 15 minutes. Just a quick polish I have every 3 months, so nothing wrong.

Nice day. Not stupidly hot like down south though. A very pleasant 18 degrees.

Having had a badly blowing exhaust on the 2CV, I did a fairly big dismantle and refit about a month ago, and after a good 500+miles since it was put back together, it still remains gas-tight and a pleasure to drive. Been enjoying some nice warm weather with temperatures as high as 18 degrees (that's a heatwave in Shetland, believe me  ). Looking forward to driving down to Worcester in September.

Popped down to Lerwick today in gloriously sunny and pleasantly warm weather, hood fully open all day. Exhaust still gas tight. :D

How to fit a 9.5ft Morris Minor and a 13ft 2CV in a 20ft long garage.

That time of the year. MOT Time. So I popped down to Lerwick on Monday, boarded the ferry at 4:40pm, it left port at half five and arrived in Aberdeen at 7am yesterday morning. I rolled off the ferry at 7:20am and 450 miles later I arrived in Worcester at 4:40pm. The 2CV was dropped round to Peter Cross of Continental Cars for a thorough check over, service and MOT. Hopefully back on the road by the weekend, or early next week. Fingers crossed.
