Got a long weekend this week :D 4 days off, so looking to hitch up the Comi-Camp and head off to deepest darkest Cornwall(not been there in over 15yrs, so overdue a visit). Any decent (and cheap) campsites down there? What places can I visit, other than the usual(Land's End, Eden, et al). Looking forward to the cruise down in the 2cv 8-) even with towing 300kgs.

There is a few yes. Please pop in to see us. We are betweeen helston and mullion (cury) next to the church. We know a few cheap hook up points. Depends what part of cornwall you want to stay in, but if you dont come down to see us look out for our red 2cv. Can't miss it.
P.S come down take a few 2cv bits off us. Some bits we need to get rid of, others 4 sale.

Got back from Cornwall today, was quite an adventure :D

Got a good start and got down to Weston-Super-Mare when I got stuck in my first traffic jam :( that was some jam!! Was quite slow going for almost an hour!! But eventually, I got out the other side :D

Got to the end of the M5 and onto the A30 at Exeter, things were looking rosy :) and they were, till Bodmin Moor :( About a mile or so from Bolventor (Jamaica Inn)the major traffic jam syndrom returned with a vengence :x In the great wisdom that is the Highways Agency, they had dualled the A30 past Bolventor, but just 2miles past that.....back to single A road, with no thought of where the vehicles in the second lane are going to go :o So they were all trying to pull in right at the very end of the dual-carriageway and causing mayhem!!! Eventually got down to Helston about 5ish or so, very tired.

On Sunday, I took off about 9:30 and visited Land's End(was ok, but just that), I decided to visit Penzance for dinner, so on the way there I popped into Mousehole(prononced Moosill  )a stunningly beautiful little harbour village. Penzance was also rather splendid :D In the evening, I visited Lizard and quite liked that, too.

Monday, I had thought of visiting the Eden Project, but when I got there, I couldn't be bothered ;) so I headed over to the Atlantic Coast and Boscastle. It was a very steep decent into the village, where the brakes started to cook(I was towing a 300kg ish Combi-Camp). On getting down there, I was left with nowhere to park :o , so decided to leave. Well, that was good fun, first gear for about a mile

I visited Clovelly(STUNNING.....and rather EXPENSIVE -food wise-) then headed for Lynmouth where again the brakes cooked  On the way out on the other side of Lynmouth, it was first gear again, for a good mile or so(much to the delight of a German couple, coming the other way :D )

I got to Porlock Hill, 1 in 4 incline :o and cooked the brakes again :( When I got to Minehead, I got stuck in another jam, so headed south, towards Tiverton, but got into another jam at Wheddon Cross(caused by a coach far too big for the road, A-Hole). Headed west and up over the Quantock Hills, again first gear for almost a mile  and down into Nether Stowey, where I camped overnight.

Trip back home today was easy, no problems at all :D

Well, if you managed to stay awake and get to the end of that 'little' blog, thanks for the effort ;)
