Re: My 2cv
I have removed the front wing to gain better access to the fuel line as it tracks its way along the chassis behind the front wheel and turns upwards to the pump. When I disconnected the bottom of the last section which goes into the pump plenty of petrol poured out. I reconnected the pipe and tried to start the car but it just won't start. Nothing is coming out of the top of the pump, yet when I disconnected the pipe again, there was petrol in it, which suggests to me that the pump is pulling the fuel up to it, but is not delivering it to the pipe up to the carburettor. Any ideas? Ta.

Re: My 2cv
Yeah. Get a new pump! If you must, then open up the pump and look at the check valves, one in and one out. See if there is a foreign body in the 'in' valve or that the out valve is not stuck closed.

Re: My 2cv
Yeah, you're probably right. It just looks like a bastard of a job.

Re: My 2cv
I found it easier with a 1/4" drive socket as it gives better clearance. If you've not ordered parts yet, you may also want to get a gasket for the oil filler base, in case you end up removing it.

Re: My 2cv
I knew what you were saying, as you did type filler, not filter.
