 1972 Ami 8 Club Saloon It's about time I posted about my new car. I saw it on eBay 3 weeks ago. It wasn't too far away, and as I've never owned an Ami before, I decided I must have it. A quick trip up to Oldham, and a deal was done. The gearbox was very noisy, but it's much better after I changed the oil, and the engine had a major oil leak, which happily turned out to just be the oil pressure light switch. I'm gradually improving it, and improving its running, but it's already a lovely old bus to drive (and so very different to the 2cvs and Acadiane I'm more used to driving). The centrifugal clutch is bloody marvelous. Here's a couple of pictures (in which it looks much better than in real life, as it's actually been painted with a roller at some point). Apparently, it used to be owned by the late Dave Shove.

Re: 1972 Ami 8 Saloon Nice. Amis are better than Dyanes in the same way that Dyanes are better than 2cvs.
