I've had yellow bulbs in 2CVs pretty much since day 1 (1997-ish), and I've never been stopped or had an MOT fail/advisory for using them. Should have told him "It's French mate, it's yellow or nothing".

I did mention it's French, and it's been like it since I bought it, even had them on my bleu celeste years ago! According to mr policeman, all French cars are built in France... Just shows his lack of knowledge really! |

Yellow lights aren't illegal,nor are they an mot advisory. Maybe you were stopped perhaps for having them adjusted too high or more likely because you weren't in a standard euro-box and needed investigating
