Went to Norwich for a date, pulled up at the lights on the ring road and it died. Flat battery, been fine all day! First thought was alternator, couldn't get it home so hence the truck! I reckon one of the spade terminals on the voltage regulator plug wasn't connected properly, it had slightly pulled out the back of the lead. Ah well on charge now!

Was it the middle brown wire? That happened to me once, ended up stuck in Lancaster overnight.

It was indeed the middle wire, just chance that it was spotted! Alls good now, been using it the last couple days without a hitch! By the sound of it, dads bought a new project for us to work on, I now get welding lessons!! Watch this space!

Been a good couple of weeks for Claude, went home on the back of a truck, and tonight (again from Norwich) got pulled!

Apparently my Amber headlights are too bright... And illegal, but then he couldn't find the legislation to prove it so let me on my way, providing I look on the net and check myself... Which I've obviously done... 8-)

That has to be a first; a 2CV stopped for excessively bright headlights!

Perhaps you ought to re fit a 425 complete with 6 volt electrics....
