My -62 Series 2a, with 2,28 petrol engine, takes "only" about 23L / 100km, what is about 10 MPG if I calculated right. Ok, only very short driving on our village, and a lot of that very low speeds... What I have noticed, there are many of us who has both Citroens and Landies. Who knows why..? |

When i worked for a landscapecontractor in the UK, we had Ford transits and a few Landrovers to work with. My colleges prefered the Fords, they where more comfortable ,so there where 3 landrovers standing in the yard, doing nothing. I decided to take one of the landrovers , every time i had to go somewhere . That meant , my colleges overtook me on the motorway , waiving and making jokes. In the field however, they got stuck. As soon as i turned up with the landrover, they hooked their vehicle to the landie and i would pull them further in the field. At some time I had two Fords , one with a loaded trailer on tow. Unfortunately, the landies where sold and some new Transits where bought , because the landrovers where not used . I urged them to keep at least one landrover , but they declined . Hope yours gets a nice new home in Algarve |

Yes i wasn't even in it.... It sprung out of gear and got downhill. If it wasn't toppled over it would have speeded down a steep hill were some hikers were coming up... |

Such a funny picture. I often thought Landies and 2cv had similarities. Maybe it's just the windscreen flaps, haha. |
