Well we were drowned a bit too. Today my solar panels cut out because the connectors got to wet and got an earthing error... Had to go on the roof, take all apart and clean.

Plastic shrouds on the Burtons :)
There doesn't appear to be a thick washer, or any washer on the inside of either of the fronts on the bracket. There should be :?:

Hi Rob,
no thick washer required on those front damper mounting plates.
Don't forget to mount the thick washers which are needed with that recess facing away from the damper...

First impressions: seems to cope with uneven tarmac at speed better than the Monroes, trouble is, the roads are so good over here  .

Nice story from the belgian 2cv club in Liege. They had an AZAM6 that didn't pass the technical control insufficient working shocks. (AZAM has hydraulic shockabsorbers and batteurs). So the guys from the club took the hydraulic ones of and did go back to the MOT. The car passed, and the inspector asked did you put new shocks on? No we took them of..... ;-) The batteurs were sufficient for the test.

Picking up the Dyane on Friday. Going to use one of these https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/322228626901 .Pete's willing to be towed, weather looks damp, am using the Vitara ( like this https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Suzuki-Grand ... SwQhNdLJyp ) as the prime vehicle: not quite Apollo but...
