Re: My Beduino
My 2cv iddles along at .35 bar.. Which I think must be doable with a standard 2cv..
2 Thoughts: Where did you connect the map pipe Does speeduino do a1 timed adc-messurement at 1 revolution or multiple, this can also affect the reading

Re: My Beduino
Thanks Lars
Geo
The map take off is in the main manifold block under the carburettor.
If I understand correctly, map is sampled every revolution.

Re: My Beduino
Still on carburetor, but installed the O2 sensor today. Appears to be working.

Re: My Beduino
I've often wondered about the Shed's ability to start and run when cold without any choke. I've messed around with idle stop screw, and idle mixture screws before but never got it perfect But it was drivable, so wasnt to bothered. I went out to B&Q the other day for some ply for some bodywork repairs! Laughing as I've just read that back. I recorded a log so I could look at the AFR later. What I was suprised to see, was that it was running rich on the overrun. It was also (and ive noticed this before) idling a little high. So today, I thought I would investigate a little more as I now have the O2 sensor install. The O2 sensor showed a very rich idle. AFR was somewhere around 11:1. But the idle that was high in the log was closer to 15:1. I also remember on previous attempts, that backing out the stop screw wasn't having the desired effect. Well today, in one of my more lucid moments, I recalled a post by @Ken, indicating the second venturi could be not completely closing. So I broke out the seal and backed it out about a half turn or so. The AFR showed it had gotten richer. I couldnt believe I had to turn the mixture screw in two turns to get it to idle at around 14.7:1. The stop screw is now also working again more like it should do. Idling much smoother, and the MAP has dropped a little as well. O2 sensor, what a wonderful tool. Thank you Mr Bosch.

Re: My Beduino
The Shed is running rich again!
Anyone had experience of the idle mixture screw unscrewing itself with vibration?

Re: My Beduino
Yes and i did loose it. I came on a crossroads in the middel of France and the car cut out. A few kms further i came an little village and stopped on the square to see what was the problem. A man with a moped came and asked what the problem was, he said me to follow him. A few street down his cousin lived and he did desert trips with 2cvs. In his shed were lot's of 2cv engines stacked on racks. He gave me the needed idle screw. And after a coffee and a lot 2cv talk i was ont the way again...
