With the 3D printer, I am trying to create a carbon fibre type finish. But at the moment, the design is more like beginners basket weaving!

I suppose, when you think about it, wood is carbon! And its fibre! So I already have carbon fibre car!

I was looking online, and you can get wood filament. Its normal pla, with particles of wood! A chap was saying that if you just print it, it comes out brown. But if you you vary the temperature as you print, you can get a grain effect. And, it can also be sanded and varnished. A bit beyond me I think, but interesting if it worked.

Had a windscreen issue recently. Wiper mechanism went over centre whilst driving down the duel carriageway in the rain. Led to an interesting driving style, and I may have developed a permanent squint!

Looked the mechanism when I arrived at the farm, and spent a while trying to fix it. But that only resulted in mullering the little clips.

Wipers are back. :)

I thought at first that the spindles were worn, but it turn out they were better than anticipated. Main issue turned out to be the linkage between everything. Lots of cooper ease, and a squeeze with the pliers and it is a lot better. :)

Wipers didn't last long!

Took the manifold off today as it was leaking everywhere. I'm replacing the manifold with one I've prepped for engine management and LPG.

Looked in my parts box, and the exhaust gaskets I thought were new are used! So I thought I may try making some out of copper plate (which I've ordered).

Anyone tried this before?
