It was icy today and about -4c. Hadn't used the Deuche for a week and a bit but it started straight up and off I pootled with a smile on my face. I saw lots of people smiling at it passe by. They do look cute covered in frosty ice I guess.

Gosh. My family visit I need to do with the Deuche has suddenly got further. For the last year or two it has taken me 2 hours each way every fortnight, never once letting me down. Lately its more like 2.5hrs each way. It never complains, summer or winter. What an amazing little buggy.
now it's suddenly going to be 4hrs each way.

Can I really do that to the poor little thing? It's kind of miraculous already! Maybe it's time to use a hire car.

So, not Totnes any more?

I am severely missing Totters at the moment Roger. These other things take me everywhere but there at the moment.
I still need to drop by one day on my way down/up.

So this amazing little machine has just completed its job of enabling family stuff, yet again.
Urgent needs meant it had to do these 2 hour journeys every other Sunday for the last couple years. And two hours home. Quick sums tell me its just trotted out 7200 ultra reliable miles in that time, mostly on the motorway at 'High' speed and in all weather's/seasons.

What a little trooper! I could never have afforded the fuel any other way I don't think. Its been comfy, cheap and oddly reassuring even on horrible 6 Lane so called smart motorways. And has attracted a hilarious amount of attention on the M25. So funny!

My nephew who I need to be in contact with has moved to Lancashire now, it's like 4hrs from here and I'm now able to claim the fuel, so it's meant I'm now able to take one of my 80's S class Mercedes. 8hr round trip can take somewhat less than that in a W126 Merc.

So I'm just driving it for the occasional errands now and what a lovely thing it is to do that in too.

They are wonderful :D

After being my daily driver, my Shed is finally getting some rest and TLC. I've rented a garage for it. :)

My neighbour has been taken ill, and will be going into care. Family has asked if I was interested in his Skoda Octavia diesel 1.9 TDI.

Must say, I rather like driving it. :D :D :D

CD changer makes me laugh though.

Just trying to sort the parking sensors, as high back, and can see!

It's a bit bigger than the Shed
