Thanks everyone for the sound advice :) .
I also agree with Jasu about ATF, The van's previous steward had put some in the fuel tank and the engine and probably saved them. It'd be great to fill a trough full of it and drop the lot in and then go away somewhere Southerly and warm for Christmas...The Algarve perhaps? ;)

ATF is Automatic Transmission Fluid ? I guess?
Would that be a suggestion to put in my 2CV AZ engine, as it does not run because im still in the process of changing "little things" to my house and building a garage next spring

Algarve sounds great. :)

I'm only suggesting the ATF as a penetrating liquid for this rusty combo :) .
There are standard ways of long term storage which I think involve turning the engine to TDC and putting some oil into the combustion chambers through the spark plug holes and turning it a few times by hand. Someone else will know the best way :) .
Yeah Daisy's Father lives down there and she's bought an old house there as well. https://daisynrob.wordpress.com/ . He's in his 80's so it's nice for him to have some company at Christmas. Whether we will move down there in the future, don't know, I've still got a job in Nature Conservation (practical outdoor Estate Work) that I like at the moment.

Surely, an MOT pass was never in any doubt?
Still, fair play to you, Rob, for engineering a celebratory glass or three... :D
