I think you do mean a "turbo tube".. This engine family started it,s life in the Ami 6/Ami 8 then it was also used in he Dyane.. If I'm right I can see a external oil filter pop out at the right side of the engine. If it is, it is definitly lived its live in a Dyane. Dyane 6 had drums till 1978, then they changed to disk breakes, again taken from the AMI 8.. Ami 8 had diskbrakes from march 1970. The external oilfilter came also around that time (maybee 2 month later).

As said before, if the engine came from a Ami it should have another oilbreather, rubber ring flap at the front of the engine, yellow cables at the alternator cap aso. So my bet Dyane 6 32hp 9:1.... somewhere between march 1970 - september 1977...

Looking What you dit to your van, you will bring this alive I bet..

p.s. I definitly love the oilcooler most..

This and then with an extra branch in the other barrel would not shift the pistons. I'm minded to slit the barrels(which are free in the crankcase), because I think that they are scrap and probably the pistons too. Took the clutch plate and friction disc off...you wouldn't want to see, I feel sickened, what a waste. Still, the oil cooler cleaned up :) .

Never mind, keep going :)
If the crank was any good before the engine was removed, it probably still will be. :)

Try putting some wood in the other barrel at the same time. And put the wood against the wooden stop. That way, you may get pressure on both pistons at the same time. A piece of plywood under the engine to allow sideways movement may help. And lots of WD40, if you don't have penetrating oil. :)

Yeah, did that!
Now thinking of welding a heavy tube(as a lever) to the pressure plate which is too corroded on it's face to be any good, refit it and warm the barrels up with the oxy/acet and see if that will move 'em.

May, after heating barrels, squirt some CO2 from an extinguisher onto the piston crowns  .

Try cutting the barrels in the length, they are probably beyond use anyway.
If you hammer about, you might damage the crankshaft and its bearings .

Put the heads back on and fill them up with diesel and let it soak for a while?

All is good advice, I'm too impatient though!
As Ken pointed out over on 2CVGB, because the engine/gearbox was stored 'under open skies' there won't be much left that is any good.
I am hoping to save the crank, cam, conrods, oil pump etc. and will of course strip the whole engine down. The gearbox/drums may be salveable. Before removing the heads I loosened the spark plugs and they don't want to come out either! Goodness knows what state the valve stems/guides will be in...I think we can guess.
All good fun eh? ;) .
MOT test for the Van on Wednesday :) .
