fit ok in a clip like this?

If it will then I can file cutouts in this hole(and the other one) to take the newer clip. What else can I do? Tried a repro. rubber bung and it was useless, wrecked itself after one operation  .

These rubbers for the window are also in later 2cv's in the bonnet stay. The modern clip won't fit. But the burton ones look ok. Put some vaseline on them.

The bonnet came with one of the four pieces needed to make up the chevrons.

Luckily, one of our Volunteers had pulled this aluminium sheet from the river on the Nature Reserve earlier in the year, perfect!

As soon as the Charleston clears it's re-test(a puncture to the rear Toyo 135, on the morning of the test :( , forced me to fit the spare which had a 125 Mich.so it failed). Three new Toyo's (two on the back axle and the spare) to be fitted by my MOT guy on Friday, and I'll book a test for the van ASAP. Some say you need it, others say you don't, I say it's a good thing to have independent verification that what you've done, especially after a re-build, is fit for purpose :).
It's not as if I've got anything to hide :D .

Hope the test will work out fine.
I would love to see some pictures of the van driving through Welsh countryside .

Next time I will meet you from Hungary.
