The long bolt holds the oil cooler and dowels the front of the crankcases, the shorter, also ground bolt dowels the rear, under the internal strainer.

A little of this goes a long way, think I've got more than a lifetimes supply here.

Probably too much on this half,

got it about right on the second one, quick learner, me.

Nearly there,

not too messy but I did have to cook dinner and supply Gin for Daisy.

One side of the mounting paste would have been enough. Pay attention the stuff doesn't get in the oilpump or oil canals. Good luck.

Given the tiny carb, the air filter seems a bit over the top  .

Hy rob, nice job, all that dirt would have landed in your engine. The airfilter is a special PO version very usufull in african dusty environments were it was disigned for. The fan you can best throw away or hang on your wall. This will be dangerous for your oilcooler if it breaks up and give unwanted vibrations to the engine.

Cheers!
I'm going to strip the centre out of the fan and re-rivet it hopefully. I don't know where I could get another one from easily/cheaply.
I'll also need to reshape the fins, it must have come loose in the past because the casing around the front of the engine is a bit battered(what isn't on this flamer), good job it wasn't in an aeroplane  .

Of course a starting handle trauma may have played a part in the past, given the state of the hole in the bonnet.

I have a stash of 425s and cowlings in various states, would you be interested?

This is what came with the 425 cc. engine, a front cowl and a right hand lower shroud. What's missing ? Anyone got a link to a parts diagram so I can work out what I'll need? and then either try to source or make. :)

This is interesting for you, see "doc de docs" all info over old 2cvs in detail.

You seem to have a later engine that has flaps on the engine to control the heaters.
