Aah! Sunshine, Spring, the holiday weekend, so...

Ran the fuel line (steel pipe originally, nylon and rubber now) to the pump. found this bracket which I have no memory of but it seems to want to go here.

Set the spring on the accelerator rod with a cable tie to ease the pressure of the spring I'm using (ECAS later spring): tried it direct to the bulkhead and it was too strong, the rod was bending :!:

I decided to use the new pedal just to see if it was easier to set the flamer up. The one I've inherited shows signs of 'pedal to the floor' or whatever the French expression is (German was taught at my Grammar (Ellesmere Port) 'cos we were twinned with an equivalent Deutsche town of Reutlingen

This is an initial set up :?

Some more work needed or a piece of tractor inner tube, cunningly cut (steady now  ) to provide the seal required.

I don't know about you, but this is how I steal a Donations Box. (Turning up early is best ;) ).

Hi Rob that bracket suposed to go on top of the gearbox to hold the wire loom. The fuel line is hold by a halfround bracket to the chassis. (like a cable clamp)

Right , that's done and I fitted the fuel line, all clipped in sweetly.
On to the front brake lines etc.

So far so good...

Damn! got the short double banjo pipe the wrong way round
Eventually got everything lined up nicely, copper washers annealed and tightened it all up. feeling dead happy I went to fit the bleedscrews before finishing for the day and they wouldn't start at all  The hex on the screw was fouling on the flamin' banjo. So undid all my good work and thought about torching the van and the tent and going and getting well and truly p*ssed and switching to C 15's.
Calmed down eventually after running out of swear words and curses. Swung the feckin' banjos around a bit and eventually got the bleedscrews to loosen and tighten up again. Time for a beer now though  .

Nylon washers both sides and copper grease eventually.

I've no idea what this bracket is for, I think it came off near the front wing area many years ago: anyone know?

Maybe it's more recognisable when straightend. Was it spotwelded or just bolted on?
