You might consider putting some "page 3 girl"- posters on the side-panels.
Or a replica of Rembrand's Bathseba .

I'd prefer a Banksy, then the flamer might be worth something :mrgreen:

Leave it in a side street in Bristol then. ;)

Post Re: Van repairs
Pete has made me feel guilty :oops:
I'd planned to get top coat paint inside most of the cab and sort out the back of the van ready for electrics. Then my daughter got married...
Then I've spent many weekends clearing my parents house and my Dads' workshop/sheds after my Mum passed away. It's still ongoing. So something had to give and it's the van at the moment. Very frustrating as Summer here in Wales is the best time for diy painting. Still not the end of the world but I've been on this project for about three years now and really looking forward to firing it up and actually driving the flamer. If no paint goes on before the Autumn rains then I'll probably spend the Winter stripping and rebuilding the mighty 425cc. engine :lol:

Well I finally have paint for the inside and hopefully enough for touching up the exterior. The analyser says the blue is a Chysler colour, Island Teal pearlescent.I've also ended up with enough mixing cups for a small party, the weather over here is now...

and the tent isn't suitable for spraying in until next May.

So that's it on the bodyshell for this year and all Winter for the engine, gearbox, driveshafts and front brakes.

I'm just getting ready to split the flamer to see if there is any 'grey abrasive custard' sitting in the sump. Have never done this before so a few storage bags ready.
I have noted that one of the gearbox mounting lugs has a flush broken stud lurking:probably the least of my worries. Three years under the bench (after I extracted the best part of a bag of loose tea, carbon rich tea, from the combustion chambers to get it to turn over): in the tent have not been kind. At least one of the heads has been off before, judging by the slight mangling of the push rod guide tubes.
26mm. for the oil cooler banjo bolts,I hope they behave.

@gearbox mounting lugs.
That could be welded up, drilled and tapped.
Alisport in Cinderford could do the welding.

Oil cooler banjo bolts are sturdy en well oiled on the inside ;-)
The slighty mangles tubes can easily been reformed with a fitting socket and a soft hammer. Did this last week on the engien i am reassembling. The donor engine ones were completely crumbled on the end by forcing them in the engine the wrong way. Saturday we opened the donor and did see to our horror a completely bend piston rod...will make a foto of that later.
