finally locked the nut on the repaired frotteur and fitted it, nice to feel considerable resistance.

Front Batteur back on, the book says 43 lbft. but with all the copper grease I did 30. Fitted the other front and a rear one then had to jump in the Charleston and go to the beach via Machynlleth. a great run out and back on quiet mountain roads in Spring sunlight, just what we both needed . Winter seems to be over.

I have them too all those connections with copper washers. After the rebuild just check all connections. I had one or two that had a drip of brake fluid on them but after thightening it stayed dry the last 20 years

Cheers, I'll inspect it when it's back on the road when ever that is!

It will remain on these until I buy tyres, after it's rewired and the gearbox/engine have been worked on.

I'm using pipe lagging(Denso) tape for a body gasket because it's recommended(or I'm being set up!). Lowered the bodyshell off the high stands and just above the chassis. Will use jacks to manoeuvre and line everything up(I hope).
