A small update.
Toe board is all welded up:

I had a go at fitting the 170% uprated springs:

And the fitted the canisters to the chassis:

Then the body was put on, and some panels were attached to see if they fitted correctly before the floors are properly welded in:

Yes quite literally probably  It will have to be raised up a few centimeters for the speed bumps and curbs etc.

Saved my front wings and probably a lamp post, hitting a curb on my first day of driving..

You need to curb your enthusiasm for attacking kerbs, you youngsters...
Unless you live in the USA, which is rather fond of mangling our way of spelling.

p.s. @ Louis.
Watch out for those continental types as well.
They invented 'metres' and the those damn Yankees decided they'd prefer 'meters'.

Is that why you parked so far away from that kerb in Harrogate Louis...?

Also, high is the new low Max. You want ride height for general offroad hooning and not smashing front splitters, plus scaring the crap out of your mates when throwing it round corners...!

Still, glad to see we're not the only young people into 2cvs

Patrick,
at 29 months, my grandson George seems to be hooked on 2CVs, much to his dad's dismay.

In the evenings, it's unusual to have this computer switched on without him wandering in demanding to watch Pete's BMW-engined machine at Mallory or the 'muddy' 2CVs at play in various swamps or hilly terrain across mainland Europe or in the UK...
