The slammed look was was Russ going through puberty...
Then he hit middle age, got married, and drove a right proper normal/boring 2cv...
Now he is going through his mid life crisis...

Perhaps we're beginning to realise the value of practicality, low still looks better though! ;)

We are forgetting that we can have both low and practicality?

Be a bit boring to do the same shit I did to the last ten cars. My wife doesn't go in it anyway. I couldn't modify a gearbox and run a prop cos it'd beyond my engineering skills and the car would have to be off the road for à period. Aside from a few odds and ends a twin engine job could be done in a weekend if all the bits were made first.
You can't do low and practical. It's either 20-40mm off the ground or you're a fucking fairy. Channeled but still 75mm from the floor? Why waste time channeling it? If I can get another one in the future I'll build a car with solid bar sills that sit 10mm off the ground and show you how it's done. That'll be after my yellow one I haven't finished (and cànt afford to), this 4x4 bullshit I'll never get round to doing but will talk up a load, and the Trabant rally car I still haven't started.

Been up chalk hill lane? Runs from the trundle down to Lavant village and at the bottom you have the option of taking the old road into chichester through the avant ford. Worth a look.

Chalk pit lane? Where is tt

Went up there today. 2cv will be fine. But go up it from the bottom. If you get stuck gravity will help you go backwards out. I had my truck on 3 wheels a few times, and being on my own didnt do the last 250 metres as the ruts where awful. Will take my 2cv up there i think. Didnt get stuck but didnt approach a few bits right so wheel spun a bit

I've only ever gone down (oo err). In both Mehari and 2cv. If you turn left at the bottom through lavant you can trace the old route into 'chi' through the ford. Officially it's no longer passable but when the river isn't running its fine and brings you out above greylingwell.
