Re: 1985 Black Spécial Yellow bulbs in 2CVs and any classic French car should be the law. They just don't look right with clear bulbs fitted. It's like having reflective number plates on a car that should have black/silver number plates fitted. I've had yellow bulbs in all my 2CVs and I've never had an issue.

As a side note, Halfords bulbs are crap. Lasted about 20 minutes before going pop, ended up putting the old cloudy one back in.

Re: 1985 Black Spécial Halfords are crap full stop. I went out to buy a tube of grease today. Halfords sell rubbish 'Laser' (?) grease gun but don't sell grease. Local independent had several to choose from. As for bulbs, I think the last time I looked the little 501 sidelights were £5 a pair from halfords. A couple of quid for a box of twenty off amazon. What are halfords for?

Folk who reckon they do are clearly suffering with night blindness. Simple. Oh.... And yellow bulbs are "Cool"
