Re: AZL 1957
They're both incredible. I know I always say it but I'm a bit in love with the yellow one.

Re: AZL 1957
The yellow 57 was a bid reluctant on starting. So took the plugs out and cleaned them. Now after 1/4 rpm it springs into life.

Re: AZL 1957
Well that was only once....Yesterday it didn't want to start at all. This morning i did put a sparkplug in the cable to see if there was a spark. When i turned the engine by hand there was a spark. But when i started it with the starter motor the spark was very weak and it missed some. So i took the ignition out and to my surprise both contact points had a coat of oxydation on it... So all out to clean. And with the fan out i did also find my non detectable oil leak i think. Both bolts that hold the oil cooler were wet with oil....So i think there is something wrong there. Let's see if can repair that too.

Re: AZL 1957
I did put in the points and clipped the wires that secure the banjo bolts of the oil cooler. I put the socketspanner on to undo them as i just tried to see if they could be thightend.....Of course stupid me, i just forgot to torque them up..... So gave that a try end put new wires in.... But the car didn't start. The battery was to empty of all that trying en the cold added some more decharge. So i put it on charge....we will see tomorrow.

This little car seems so reliable normally.

Re: AZL 1957
Recharged battery in the car divers tries...no luck. Changed coil, nothing. I did put the choke back to zero and a little splutter...no start. Took the idle jet out, cleaned. An other try and 1/4 turn and it sprung to life... super. Cleaned out the heating tunnels. So hope the oily smell is gone now too...
