As it was dry outside at last i took the hub of the trailer. It didn't want to come off with the puller. But after heating it a bit with a blowtorch it came of. One bearing stayed behind that had to be pulled off seperatly. After warming this too the old smelly fat was running out. All is cleaned, waiting for the new parts.

New bearings arrived, they are put in now. Hubs were cleaned and repainted. I will have a testdrive tomorrow. The small wheels will have to spin very hard behind the car.

Thanks. Had a testdrive, wanted to visit Geo but he was blocked in by the yearly streetmarket. Trailer runs well.

Dank je. Should be repainted in and out but it has a strange colour grey. The lid is in white primer now. It is zinc coated as is the chassis.

Did put something in the back this morning and the lock came apart in my hand. So after work i got in my parts stock and found a 1960's lock. A bit blocked so a clean and oil to get it moving again. And it is in the car now. It's apaling that it broke just after it's 40st birthsday....

That often happens just days after the warranty period has expired.

Did prepare the blue 2cv for the MOT. Greased drivshafts and pivots. The rear tires were very used. So i did put other wheels on it. Also the original 40 year old spare wheel. It was ony used once as i had a puncture with a little spoon sticking in the tyre. After the MOT i will put some other tyres on and the spare can go back to it's home.

Trailer is ready it looks rather well from 3 meters distance
And technically it's ok. So what you can wish more for a free trailer. The wings are made of fiberglass. It is only missing it's mudflaps.
