Oh no I did this once and it was pretty dramatic. I couldn't think why I could smell BBQ's, then smoke poured from the dash, followed by an emergency stop at a bus stop and very quick exit. Hahaha I think I amused the person waiting there.

What a mess, it was pouring for so long, the bonnet insulation also soaked a lot up and dripped forever. But I suppose once in about 25 years of 2cv ownership is allowed.....

A collegue from the newspaper had to go to an official meeting with his Dyane. He also forgot the filler cap. As he smelled it he opened the bonnet in his flashy new white suit. And the black oil ran down his arms.... :mrgreen: ;-)
We have lot of problems with moles here....

Did find a almost new long roof on fleabay. For 125 euros i couldn't refuse.

For that price yes, but they can still bought new for around 400 euros.
