Nice pic. Love the trees.

For battery, I only use Bosch so far. They last me for years.

The 57 is out of the garage again. Started up right away. It's nice to drive it again.

Nice surprise today. A friend of my chef came in with 5 2cv wheels with almost new tyres / Four Michelin winter tyres and one Michelin X. Cadeau. ;-)

Michelin winter tyres are really nice. I've got a pair on wheels for the front of mine if things get bad.

Yes they are very good. I remember one winter where only my 2cv and the local bus got through a heavy snow covered street. ;-)

Not really a good idea to have winter tyres on one axle and keeping summer tyres on the other. You'll risk spinning the car and losing control. I just run summer tyres on the Deuche all-year-round, and the modern hack has Michelin CrossClimate+ on each corner all-year-round as they're an excellent all-season tyre for the UK.

In the past the Michelin X were accepted as wintertyres. The have the same wavy lamell pattern as the wintertyres that that takes care of the grip. (lamelles zigzag according to michelin)

I'd love to be able to afford Michelin tyres. Apart from the two snow ones I had for the front, I've only ever had Toyo etc.

I did try to adjust the steering of the 57. After the getting rid of the play in the steering rack the car did pull to the left a bit. As the old models don't have adjuster screws i had to take the ball joint apart and change some shimms over from on to the other side of the steering arm ball. Will see if that worked, it was a dirty job.
