And not to mention the doors are filled with glass wool...
I did see yesterday the battery was low 10 volts. Driving home 3 kms wasn't eough to charge the battery as i started it with the cables before. So it ook t he it out and hooked the old charger up. This morning it had just over 13,7 volts. Started the car and did see the charge go to 16 volts. A bit much, but after a spin through the town it was back to 14,5 volts...Strange.

Perhaps take look at the regulator?

Ground is the usual suspect. :)

Could be, it stood still for almost 11 months.

It started well after 2 days rest. Brakes felt a bit spongy so this morning i started with adjusting the rear brakes and to my surprise there was rather lot of play. I drove 2 summers with 3 persons in the car in very hilly terrain. That must have used the rear brakes a bit. Before i drove it mostly alone and in 37 years i adjusted the rears maybe 2 times... ;-)
Now they are fine again.

It was 44 degrees in the car. On the way home it past the 220000 km mark.

My 83 2cv didn't start just at work. This morning it was already difficult. I hit the startermotor with the starting handle (that is wat it was made for?)and it did run again. So i think it will need new brushes. I swapped the motor and did find that the one i put in now was the original one. It was already cleaned and prepaired.

Other nice surprise today, i did find one of the last types of miners lamps used in our local coal mines. It has an electric ignition, very rare.
