Today first practise test in ice and snow. Started well this morning heating keeps about 20cm wide aera of th windscreen free of damp. Only very little snow so i don't know if the wipers will cope with a real snowfall.

Driving home in the dark and rain....Plock one wiper dissappeared. I could only stop 1 kilometer on. Fortunatly the complete wiper was still laying on the bonnet....

If the grip of the arms on the spindles is somewhat feeble, tie some fishing line between the arms.
If it's slack, it won't interfere with how they operate, but it will prevent an escapee from going overboard...

You were going so fast the wiper stayed on the bonnet

Sometimes in my 4L when it rains I have a puddle on the bonnet. Not enough air to blow the rain away as I drive along.

Slow 'N' Steady :D

Replaced the gearstick assembly, the old one had its rubber broken. Car is more silent now ;-) i am refurbishing an other claxon. The one in there now isn't very loud. I wouldn't be surprised if it turns out to be 12v one... Can't see yet because of the dirt.

Claxon was 6 volts so??? Well we'll see. It is coping quite well with the below zero temperatures. Perfect starts, but only if it's very cold i can't get it over 55 km/H... till the engine is warmed up.
Did a test with a small portable steamcleaner on a part of the inside of the mouldy roof canvas. It stays clean for now. It did got rid of the mould very fast.
